HUAHE regional footprint map — geographic data and notices

1. Physical shoreline

2. Regional administrative outlines, lakes, rivers and upstream Yangtze water

Administrative polygons are clipped to physical land; jurisdiction over water is not rendered as land.
The connected upstream Yangtze water component omitted from GSHHG L1 is taken from the complement of Natural Earth's physical land. Only this component is subtracted from GSHHG land, joining the upstream centerline to the estuary without an artificial clipping edge. The remaining GSHHG shoreline is unchanged.

3. Interpretation
This is a generalized regional location illustration, not a navigation map, survey, territorial claim or supply boundary.
The Shanghai and Qinshan markers indicate approximate areas, not surveyed HUAHE premises.
The dashed connection represents project coordination, not a transport route.
Context city markers do not designate specific partner institutions.
Older geographic datasets may differ from present-day coastlines and reclamation.
An official Yangtze River Delta standard map was consulted for geographic context; its approval number is not attached to this derived illustration.
